Hello!
I'm a retrogaming enthusiast and currently building Win XP x64 machine just for shits and giggles. I actually used Win XP x64 in the times when Win XP was dominating the market so it's fine with me. The only thing I was missing then, before switching to Win 7, is absence of DX10 support, though I know that not many games supported it back then. Nevertheless now I'm thinking about trying to run Crysis in DX10 on Win XP x64, this should be fun.
So I'm not really need all this "Vista compatibility", only DX10 one. Can I install One Core API on XP x64 to achieve just that? Or maybe it's better to use WineD3D for this task? I heard that One Core API is using parts of WineD3D for DX10 support, is that true?
